I've stayed at 21c throughout its opening (2012?), so I'm familiar with the rooms and its general upkeep. This is the first time that I've noticed flickering lights when lights were dimmed, shower and bath handles sticking to the point that I thought they were broken, small surface stains on light colored upholstered furniture (Room 801). In general, the hotel has been kept up very well over the years, but I would hate to see these small things not be fixed. It's a pricey room and something that I only pay for on really special events, so I want things to be exceptional, not just good. Staff was courteous as always. The restaurant was wonderful as always. Just commenting on the fixtures.

I would give my stay a 5/10. It was Mother’s Day weekend and I looked forward to this stay as a break. We used our rewards from our credit card to help pay for the room. I am upset because my room was in the corner with no view except a brick wall. The room felt dark due to the lack of view or natural sunlight since it was enclosed. I am wondering if I was placed in this room because we used our rewards but feels a little unfair that these rooms are blocked out for these types of “non paying customers.” Also, I looked up where to park on FAQ and directed me to the garage. The garage offered $10 overnight stay. The garage charged me $37. When I spoke to the front desk they did not compensate me but told me to call the number on the receipt. I was in disbelief from the lack of customer care. I should have payed for the valet service of $39 if I knew that was the case. Overall, I would not stay here again. Disappointed as I had looked forwards to this stay for Mother’s Day weekend.

When it comes to room placement, we do not have rooms blocked for guests specifically because they are using rewards. That being said, I do apologize that your room did not have the city view you were hoping for. In regards to the parking situation, we offer valet as a service to our guests here, as we understand that downtown parking can be expensive and often rather troublesome. It looks like you were charged for parking on our end, which I will happily remove and refund for you. Again, I am sorry that we let you down and if you are ever back in the Downtown area, please reach out to us directly and we will ensure you are taken care of from check-in to checkout! Skittles on the floor. Pube hairs in the shower and one of the pillows smelled badly of body odor.

Great customer service, underwhelming rooms

The staff was great, very friendly. The rooms were underwhelming and old. We stayed at the Louisville location before and it was beautiful. This Cincinnati location was outdated. The rooms were not comfortable. I felt like staying at a comfort inn would have a better room. The view was awful, they gave us an end unit, which was fine but it just seemed run down. The shower was spraying out water, it seemed like it had calcium build up and a few of the towels had hairs on it. For the price, it just wasn’t a good stay. The staff was great but the hotel was not. We won’t be returning to this location.
